**Please note, there is much confusion between the identity of stocks of Crinum album and
Crinum moorei, and especially Crinum moorei 'Album' and the bulb that was once named
C.moorei var schmidtii. It would appear that in UK hort. plants being raised as C. album syn. C. yemense may be, or may be more likely to be, the South African Crinum, C. moorei, or a form of it. C. moorei can have either pale pink or white flowers. The typical difference between C. moorei and C. album is that flower buds on C. album open in a random pattern instead of the sequential-centrifugal pattern seen in C.moorei; and C. album does not sport a long above-ground "neck" like found in all C.moorei bulbs.'' Please note, Crinum moorei is a very variable species, and variation may also be related to where and how it is grown.

Information kindly supplied by David Lehmiller,
Crinum expert, and member of the International Bulb Society.
